Britney Spears Will Get $15 Million To Judge X Factor

After weeks and weeks and weeks of negoiations and rumors, there’s still not a definitie answer on whether or not Britney Spears will be the first person to fill the two judges’ seats, it sounds like it is going to happen. And she’s going to get $15 million for the gig.

According to E! News, Britney and Simon Cowell have been in heavy money negotiaons for a while now and they have decided on the $15 million salary.

”Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee,” an insder told E!. “That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it’s been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality.”

This deal would make Britney the highest-paid judge on reality television, even more than Jennifer Lopez’s $12 million for “American Idol.” Watch out Idol, JLo is going to ask for at least $16 million next year!

Cowell Says New X Factor Judges Will Be Female; Two Hosts Also Likely

Rumors of who will fill the two emtpy judges’ seats for X Factor continue to fly, and while they’re only rumors, Simon Cowell is confirming that the judges will be female.Simon Cowell - X Factor - CR: Ray Mickshaw / FOX.

I kind of thought that was just obvious. An uneven panel of judges would just be weird.

“The only thing you can count on is that we will likely have two girls,” L.A. Reid said. “That you can probably count on.”

Cowell agreed. “I think that’s 100 percent,” Cowell said. “There’s going to be a lot of twists and turns over the next few weeks, and a lot of things we’re going to announce. But while you’ve got ‘The Voice’ and ‘Idol’ competing with each other, I’ve learned a big lesson: Keep your mouth shut.”

The latest names added to the ever-growing list of possible judges are Britney Spears and Leann Rimes.

X Factor 2012 will also see two hosts next season, Cowell said.

“There will be two,” he said. “What we’ve learned on the show is you’ve got so much information you’ve got to relay as one person now, that it’s almost impossible to have one person doing the hosting job. … They’re like newscasters now, these hosts. It’s a much much bigger role.”

Will Janet Jackson Join X Factor USA?

Let the speculation continue. Who will fill the X Factor 2012 judge’s seats left vacant by Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger’s exits? We’ve heard names like Whitney Houston (and that’s out for obvious reasons), Pink, Katy Perry and Mariah Carey. And now Janet Jackson has been added to the list of rumored possible replacements.

Anderson Cooper mentioned the rumors to Jackson during an interview and her response has left a lot of people speculating. The exchange went like this:

Jackson: “Oh my God. No, I’m not a judge on ‘The X Factor.’”

Cooper: “You’re not currently a judge on ‘The X Factor?”

Jackson: “No, I am not. But that’s all I really think I should say.”

So that last part is what has been wondering. And I can see why.  What do you think? Do you think Jackson would make a good X Factor judge?
